Spencer Tran PT, DPT
Spencer earned both a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Master of Anatomy and Clinical Health Science through the University of Delaware. Spencer attended the University of Pittsburgh and received a Bachelors of Science degree in rehabilitation.
Through the University of Delaware, Spencer pursued affiliations in various settings throughout the Mid-Atlantic. During his affiliation with Elite Physical Therapy in Wilmington, DE, he developed his manual skills while addressing a wide range of orthopedic and neurological issues. At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ, he was consulted regarding patients on various floors including the ICU, orthopedics, telemetry, and med-surg. While at NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, Spencer focused on providing physical therapy to patients recovering from stroke or other acute neurological conditions which continues to be a favorite patient population.
Prior to moving back to Washington, Spencer practiced at SPEAR Physical Therapy in New York City, where he specialized in outpatient orthopedic care.
Spencer has also received additional post-graduate training in manual therapy, pain science, and is a German trained ISST Schroth Scoliosis Therapist.
Outside of the clinic, Spencer pursues his passion for exploration through travel. His love of adventure arose from an 11,500-mile road trip that took him through 19 U.S. national parks. When he’s in D.C., you can find him exploring the city by bicycle.
